The 13 and under leagues will field EIGHT (8) players and a goalkeeper (9v9).  The intent of these leagues is for players to compete against other middle school aged players before graduating into high school play.

The 13U leagues focus on teamwork and coordinated play.  Players should be developing strategies for "set pieces"; goal kicks, corner kicks, and penalty kicks.   

In 13U games, the offside rule will be enforced.  Offside penalty will result in the opposing team being granted an indirect free kick.

Because there are 10-year-olds in this age group, there will be NO HEADING of the ball at any time in the 13U leagues - practices or games.  

Players will have one attempt at a throw in. Illegal throw will result in the other teams throw in from the same spot.
